What are Sekhem and Reiki?
Sekhem and Reiki are both energy healing modalities that channel universal life force energy to heal the recipient on the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical levels.
There are many different energy healing modalities, each with their own unique vibration and benefits.
Reiki is a soft, earthly energy that can be felt as a very gentle, warm and loving stream. Discovered in the 60s in Japan, it is calm and caring.
Sekhem can be felt as a faster, more fiery energy associated with Ancient Egypt. Re-discovered in the 80s, it is associated with the Kemetic goddesses Isis and Sekhmet.
What is Sound Healing?
Sound healing practices utilise musical instruments to bring about positive changes in the recipient's life. Similarly to energy healing, this can impact the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical aspects.
A variety of instruments can be used for sound healing.
At Resonance Healing, Katie focuses on Crystal and bowls, although other instruments may be used to accompany them.
Your session will start with a short consultation, where we can chat about how the session will go and anything you may wish to focus on.
For both sound and energy healing, you will be lying on a massage table if this is comfortable for you. If this is not accessible, we can explore alternative seating arrangements.
All you need to do whilst receiving sound and energy healing is to relax. You will receive the energy or sound and nothing more is required from you.
There will be an opportunity to discuss anything that may have come up for you at the end.
Sound healing involves a period of silence after the sounds have finished being played, to allow the healing to integrate into your body.
