About Georgina

Georgina Bove

In 2004 I went on holiday to Greece with the holistic holiday company Skyros Holidays and experienced a different environment and people.  It was overwhelming, a real roller coaster ride, and I loved it.

During that holiday, even though I didn't think I could sing, I took part in a singing workshop with Sarah Warwick and found that I had some ability.  I remember that somebody cried when I sung their name to them because they said it sounded so beautiful.  WOW.

Sarah introduced me to the sounds of singing bowls and sound baths (bathing a person in sound) and I was hooked.  As part of a workshop Sarah used a large white bowl to make a sound and we toned (sang the same note that the bowl produced) and I burst into tears.  Each time we toned with the bowl I cried!  I did not feel sad, it was just a release.  It was an amazing experience and I was told that afterwards I looked completely changed - happier and lighter - I know I felt different.  I later found out that the bowl was a crystal bowl tuned to the note of C - the base chakra.  I now own a bowl just like this for healing.

My journey into sound healing had started.  However, it was some years later, after deciding to leave my conventional job, that I studied sound healing and qualified as a Sound Healer through
The College of Sound Healing and added further to my training with Tuning Fork Healing and Gong Master Training course with the renowned Gong Master Don Conreaux.  I am pictured above with one of my gongs.

I have enjoyed singing, taking part in a weekly groups - Singing for the Terrified! in Hertfordshire and now Sing for Joy in Cromer. I started twelve years ago and, I'm not terrified any more!  The biggest bonus I have found is that when I sing with people I sing with friends and now, I'm delighted to say, some of my closest friends are from these groups.  Sound has a wonderful way of bringing people together.

Another chapter of my life began when I moved to North Norfolk in September 2014 to help set up a small community on the Norfolk Norfolk coast.  During this time was privileged to work at a private hospital for people with mental health issues, providing a sound bath once a week.  It was an amazing experience and I witnessed some lovely moments.

Now back in Hertfordshire I am beginning to start my sound/gong baths again.  Please visit my events page to see what's happening.
